The Osight R is a rugged and versatile reflex sight developed for close to mid-range shooting, where a fast and clear sight picture is essential. Its large 28 x 22 mm window and advanced multi-layer lens coatings give a wide, clear view of the target, so you can pick up targets quickly and move smoothly between aiming points. The sight has a 2 MOA red dot and a 65 MOA circle that can be used separately or combined: the 2 MOA dot suits precise shot placement, while the larger circle helps with fast target acquisition at short range. With 1x magnification, parallax-free operation and unlimited eye relief, the Osight R gives an intuitive sight picture in a wide range of situations.

A distinctive part of the Osight R is its protective lens cover system. Sturdy covers protect the front and rear of the sight when it is not in use, and the front cover can be replaced with the included ARD, which helps reduce glare and unwanted reflections from the front lens. The sight uses the compact Micro T1/T2 mounting interface and comes as standard with a 39 mm co-witness mount, so it fits standard Picatinny-railed guns. Mounts with an optical centre height of 30.7 mm or 49 mm are available separately for other configurations. The housing is CNC-machined from 7075-T6 aluminum, which gives the Osight R a strong yet relatively light construction. With the standard mount and battery it weighs 190 g, and thanks to its IPX8 water resistance it is ready for demanding conditions.

For quick and simple operation the Osight R uses Motion Activation Technology: it switches on automatically as soon as it detects movement and switches off again after three minutes without movement. You get twelve brightness levels, nine for daylight and three for night vision, and the dedicated NV button selects the night vision settings quickly. A memory function recalls the last brightness setting used. In 2 MOA dot mode the CR2032 battery gives a stated runtime of up to 83 000 hours, and when the battery runs low the reticle flashes three times as a clear warning.
