Red dot mounts for Taurus models

This collection contains red dot mounts for Taurus pistols without an optic cut. The mount replaces the rear sight, with no permanent modifications. Taurus models differ in their rear sight dovetail, so check your model first.

Which mount fits which Taurus

• G3, G2S, G2C and TX22: EGW mounts for models with a 20.5 mm wide dovetail. For the Trijicon RMR or as type S for Shield RMSc, Leupold DPP and Holosun K-series. See Red dot mounts for Taurus G3 and Red dot mounts for Taurus G2C.

Installation

Drift the rear sight out of the dovetail with a sight pusher or a punch. Push the mount into the same dovetail and fix it. Then screw the red dot onto the mount. No slide milling or permanent modifications are needed. See Installation tools.

Frequently asked questions

Can I put a red dot on my Taurus without an optic cut?

Yes. The mount goes into the rear sight dovetail in place of the rear sight. No milling and no permanent changes, so you can put the rear sight back at any time.

Can I install the mount at home?

Yes, if you have a sight pusher or a punch.

1. Drift the rear sight out of the dovetail.
2. Push the mount into the dovetail and tighten it.
3. Screw the red dot onto the mount with a drop of threadlocker on each screw.

Which red dots will fit?

It depends on the mount you choose. Every mount takes one footprint or a group of footprints. For Taurus we have mounts for the Trijicon RMR, Shield RMSc, Holosun K-series, Leupold DPP, Docter and C-More RTS footprints.

Find the footprint of your red dot in its specifications and take the mount that names it.

Does the G3 mount fit my G3C?

No. The G3C has its own mounts. Choose a mount with your model in the title.
