Red dots with Trijicon RMR footprint

This collection contains red dot sights with the Trijicon RMR footprint. The RMR footprint is a common standard for full-size pistols. Many makers use it, not only Trijicon. Any plate or mount for the RMR footprint takes these red dots.

Red dots in this collection

Reticle options

RMR footprint red dots here come with single dots of 2, 3 or 6 MOA. Many Holosun models add a 32 MOA circle around a 2 or 3 MOA dot. Some models offer several circle sizes, such as 8, 20 and 32 MOA. Colors are red, green and on some Holosun X3 and Comp models gold.

Comp models for competition

The Holosun 507Comp and 507 Comp have a window of 22.1 x 27.9 mm, against 16.0 x 23.1 mm on the 507C X2. A larger window makes it easier to find the dot in fast shooting. The 507 Promax PRS has the largest window in this collection, 24.9 x 30.0 mm. Rain covers and rubber covers for these models are available in Red dot accessories.

Dot colour

The colour is given in square brackets at the end of the title: red, green or gold. Gold is available on the Holosun 407C X3, 507C X3, 407Comp and 507Comp. Many shooters find a green or gold dot easier to see in bright daylight.

Window size

The window is the glass you look through. Sizes from this collection, width x height:

• Holosun 407C X2, 507C X2 and 508T X2: 16.0 x 23.1 mm. The X3 versions: 17.0 x 23.1 mm.
• Olight Osight: 19.0 x 24.1 mm. Osight X: 21.5 x 24 mm. Osight XR and XE AMRS: 18 x 23 mm.
• Vector Optics Frenzy-X 1x19x28: 19 x 28 mm. Frenzy 1x22x26: 22 x 26 mm. In Vector Optics titles the two numbers after "1x" are the window size in mm.
• Sightmark Mini Shot M-Spec M2 Solar: 15 x 21 mm.

Power and battery

• Solar backup: the Holosun 407C, 507C, 508T and 507 Promax PRS, the Vector Optics Frenzy-X MRS GenII Solar Power and the Sightmark Mini Shot M2 Solar.
• Side battery tray: the Holosun X3 models, the 407Comp, 507Comp and 507 Promax PRS. You change the battery without removing the red dot, so you keep the zero.
• Magnetic charging cover: the Olight Osight, Osight X and Osight XR. The cover charges the red dot when you put it on.
• Shake Awake: all Holosun models here switch on when the gun moves.

Housing

Most red dots here have an open aluminium housing. The Holosun 508T and the Vector Optics Frenzy-X GenII Titanium have a titanium housing. The Olight Osight XR and Osight XE AMRS and the Sightmark Mini Shot M2 Solar are enclosed. An enclosed red dot keeps rain, mud and dust away from the LED.

Yes. The 507C uses the Trijicon RMR footprint.

Which reticle should I choose?

A 2 or 3 MOA dot suits precise shots. A dot with a 32 MOA circle is faster to find at short distance.

Can I change the battery without losing the zero?

Yes, on models with a side battery tray. The red dot stays on the plate while you change the battery. On models with the battery under the red dot, you must remove it.
