Red dot mounts for FN models

This collection contains red dot mounts for FN pistols without an optic cut. The mount replaces the rear sight, with no permanent modifications.

• FN 509: an Outer Impact type C mount, made of aluminium in the USA. It fits Trijicon RMR, C-More RTS and Docter footprints. See Red dot mounts for FN 509.
• FN Five-seveN: a Shield Sights mount in brass and polymer for the Shield RMSc footprint. See Red dot mounts for FN Five-seveN.

Installation

Drift the rear sight out of the dovetail with a sight pusher or a punch. Push the mount into the same dovetail and fix it. Then screw the red dot onto the mount. No slide milling or permanent modifications are needed. See Installation tools.

Frequently asked questions

Can I put a red dot on my FN without an optic cut?

Yes. The mount goes into the rear sight dovetail in place of the rear sight. No milling and no permanent changes, so you can put the rear sight back at any time.

Can I install the mount at home?

Yes, if you have a sight pusher or a punch.

1. Drift the rear sight out of the dovetail.
2. Push the mount into the dovetail and tighten it.
3. Screw the red dot onto the mount with a drop of threadlocker on each screw.

Which red dots will fit?

It depends on the mount you choose. Every mount takes one footprint or a group of footprints. For FN we have mounts for the Trijicon RMR, Shield RMSc, Docter and C-More RTS footprints.

Find the footprint of your red dot in its specifications and take the mount that names it.

My FN 509 is Optics Ready. Will these mounts fit?

No. A pistol with a factory optic cut takes an optic plate, not a mount. See Optics ready plates for FN models.
