Red dot mounts for Glock models

This collection contains red dot mounts for Glock pistols without the MOS optic cut. The mounts replace the rear sight in its dovetail. You need no slide milling and no permanent modifications. The mounts do not fit Glock MOS variants. For a MOS pistol, see Optics ready plates for Glock models.

Which mount fits which Glock

Not all Glock models share the same rear sight dovetail:

• G17, G19, G26 and most other standard models (Gen 3 and later): the largest choice of mounts. See Red dot mounts for Glock 17, Red dot mounts for Glock 19, Red dot mounts for Glock 26, Red dot mounts for Glock 34 and Red dot mounts for other Glock models.
• Glock 21 and Glock 22: each has its own Shield Sights mount for the Shield RMSc footprint. A mount for the G17 and G19 does not fit them. See Red dot mounts for Glock 21 and Red dot mounts for Glock 22.

Footprints for the standard Glock models

For the G17, G19, G26 and similar models, you can choose from:

• Single footprints: Trijicon RMR, Shield RMSc and Holosun K-series.
• Toni System type A: Shield RMSc, Leupold DPP and Docter.
• Toni System type B: Trijicon RMR and C-More RTS.
• Outer Impact type C: Trijicon RMR, C-More RTS and Docter.
• Type D: Trijicon RMR and Docter.
• EGW type S: Shield RMSc, Leupold DPP and Holosun K-series.

Shield Sights polymer mounts

The Shield Sights mounts for Glock are made of polymer with a brass wedge. To install them, you remove the rear sight block and fit the brass wedge that holds the polymer mount. Mounts for the G17 and G19, G21, G22 and G43 are available.

Frame mount for Glock Gen 4

A Toni System frame mount installs on the bottom of the frame, not on the slide. It fits some Glock Gen 4 models, including the G17, G22, G23, G31, G32, G34 and G35. It takes the Trijicon RMR footprint. The red dot stays still while the slide cycles.

Makers and materials

Toni System (Italy), Outer Impact, EGW, Angry Bear and Holosun (USA) make aluminium mounts. Zendl in the Czech Republic makes a steel mount. Shield Sights in the United Kingdom uses brass and polymer.

Installation

Drift the rear sight out of the dovetail with a sight pusher or a punch. Push the mount into the same dovetail and fix it. Then screw the red dot onto the mount. No slide milling or permanent modifications are needed. See Installation tools.

Frequently asked questions

Can I put a red dot on my Glock without an optic cut?

Yes. The mount goes into the rear sight dovetail in place of the rear sight. No milling and no permanent changes, so you can put the rear sight back at any time.

Can I install the mount at home?

Yes, if you have a sight pusher or a punch.

1. Drift the rear sight out of the dovetail.
2. Push the mount into the dovetail and tighten it.
3. Screw the red dot onto the mount with a drop of threadlocker on each screw.

Which red dots will fit?

It depends on the mount you choose. Every mount takes one footprint or a group of footprints. For Glock we have mounts for the Trijicon RMR, Shield RMSc, Holosun K-series, Leupold DPP, Docter and C-More RTS footprints.

Find the footprint of your red dot in its specifications and take the mount that names it.

Does the G17 mount fit my G21?

No. The Glock 21 and 22 have their own mounts. Choose a mount with your model in the title.

My Glock 19 MOS is Optics Ready. Will these mounts fit?

No. A pistol with a factory optic cut takes an optic plate, not a mount. See Optics ready plates for Glock models.

Which generation does it fit?

Most rear sight mounts fit the G17, G19, G26 and similar models from Gen 3 on. The frame mount fits some Gen 4 models only.
