Can I install the rail on my Remington myself?

Yes, no gunsmith is needed. Clean the receiver and the screws, put a drop of threadlocker on each screw and tighten them evenly to the torque given by the maker.

Which scope rings fit the rail?

Any Picatinny rings, and most Weaver rings. Choose the ring diameter by the main tube of your scope. See Scope rings for Picatinny base.

Does the 700 rail fit my 770?

No. The 770 has its own rail. The 700 rail also fits the Sauer 101 and Mauser M18.
