Short Action or Long Action

The Bergara B14 is made with different action lengths, and each needs its own rail. The screw holes on the receiver are spaced differently. Check the action length of your rifle before you order.

Flat or angled

A rail without MOA in the title is flat (0 MOA), the usual choice for hunting and normal distances. The 20 MOA version is angled forward. The angle gives the scope more elevation, so you can zero at long distance without running out of adjustment.

Extension for thermal or night vision

Some rails have a forward extension. It gives you room to mount a thermal or night vision device in front of the scope.

Installation

You need no gunsmith. Clean the receiver and the screws, put a drop of threadlocker on each screw and tighten them evenly to the torque given by the maker. Then mount the rings and the scope.

For scope rings, see Scope rings for Picatinny base. For all rails of this brand, see Picatinny rails for Bergara models.

Frequently asked questions

Can I install the rail on my Bergara B14 myself?

Yes, no gunsmith is needed. Clean the receiver and the screws, put a drop of threadlocker on each screw and tighten them evenly to the torque given by the maker.

Which scope rings fit the rail?

Any Picatinny rings, and most Weaver rings. Choose the ring diameter by the main tube of your scope, most often 30 mm.

Which rail fits my Bergara B14?

It depends on the action length. Find out if your rifle is a Short Action or a Long Action, then take the rail with the same name.

Do I need an angled rail?

Only for long distances. For hunting and normal distances, a flat rail is the usual choice.
