3 new red dots from Osight: SE MOS, SE DPP & XE AMRS [all available]

Osight has released 3 new red dots: Osight SE MOS, Osight SE DPP and Osight XE AMRS. All of them are already available at Optics-Spot.

How do these red dots differ?

Mainly by footprint (the way the sight mounts to the gun), by shape and by a few other details. What they all have in common is an enclosed emitter. In other words, the source of the red dot is protected behind glass, so dirt, rain or snow can't block it.

Osight SE MOS

This one looks quite unusual. The footprint sits slightly in front of the sight itself, and the sight has a roof on the shooter's side. Even the controls are placed unusually, right in that roof.

The SE MOS is made for Glock MOS models (Gen 4 and Gen 5) and fits them without any adapter. It will not fit Glock Gen 6, because Glock changed the footprint for its latest generation.

Just keep in mind - this red dot will fit only the Glock MOS models (gen 4 / gen 5). Except of those, it will not fit any other gun. And it also does not fit the Glock Slimline models (G43 & G48 MOS).

Osight SE DPP

It offers the same reticles as the classic Osight SE, but it is sturdier overall. The window is about 25% larger and the sight itself is about 15% bigger.

It uses the Leupold DPP footprint, which is standard on many optics-ready Sig Sauer pistols (just check your specific model before buying). For other handguns, there are plenty of adapters and mounts for this footprint, so the SE DPP fits most guns on the market.

Osight XE AMRS

The XE AMRS is very similar to the Osight XR Enclosed. The difference is that it doesn't have the rechargeable top and cover. Instead, it uses a classic replaceable battery.

Its main strength is the number of reticles. That's what "AMRS" stands for: Advanced Multi Reticle System. You can choose from:

2 MOA dot
6 MOA dot
32 MOA circle
3 MOA dot & 32 MOA circle
6 MOA dot & 32 MOA circle

That's far more choice than most red dots offer. Plus this one has collapsible rear sight.

Adapter Platte passt nicht genau

Die Adapterplatte für die Prodigy DS ist leider nicht passgenau, sie sitzt nicht ganz gerade auf.
Auf der rechten Seite der Waffe ist die Platte um ca. 0,5mm höher.
Die Platte wurde vom Support ohne Probleme ausgetauscht und die neue Platte passt perfekt.

Great price and fast shipping

Ordered on the weekend with shipping to Sweden and had the package in hand by Wednesday. Good packaging, everything is aces, and the Frenzy is works great (mounted to a CAT2 magnetic adapter since I only shoot bullseye and only intend to use the optic occasionally).

Ein und Ausschalter funktioniert nicht

Das Red Dot lässt sich einschalten, das Justieren ist extrem nervig gewesen aber mit viel Geduld war es machbar. Soweit hält es sich recht gut auf der 9mm. Das Problem ist der Knopf zum ein und ausschalten. Einschalten lässt es sich ohne Probleme aber ausschalten ist bei mir nur möglich wenn ich mir alles Kraft den Knopf gedrückt halte oder das Red Dot abschraube und die Batterie entferne.

Great Optic for a reasonable price. really recommended.
Only problem: for switching off, + and - need to be pressed simulatinously. Depends on your finger size this might be a bit troublesome.

Not a good fit

Because it is not a good fit, there is a lot of space between the adaptorplate and the slide. Because of that, the Holosun dot tilts forwards and causes the elevation to be way down.
I had to Macgyver a small ring of metal to get a acceptional fit but still soso

The dove tail is separated from the adapter plate what makes it easier to make adjustments. In my case it went in by hand for 2/3 and the rest 1/3 with a nylon driver and a little bit bleu loctite. When everything was nicely centered I could fasten the screws that were delivered with the plate and it was ready.

Richtmiddelen optic-spot.

De richtmiddelen met fiber optic doen het super. Met name de helderheid van de korrel met fiber optic doet het heel goed. Ik kan nu mijn doel sneller pakken door deze fiber korrel.
Ik gebruik een Walther PDP Match 5 inch met steel frame voor de wedstrijd disciplines militair pistool en service pistool.
